Simply the best and closest views I've had of Little Ringed Plovers and a Green Sandpiper, beautiful iridescence on Lapwings and a chance to compare Great and Little Egrets with a Grey Heron. Oh and Common Crane to finish off.

A large flock of Black-Tailed Godwits and several Lapwings but a very disappointing number of other waders - only 3 Redshanks and seven Dunlin. A female Garganey was spotted by local expert Chris Jones - something I would definitely have missed as it is very understated compared to the male which I've included as a reference from footage captured previously.

A chance to compare and contrast Wood and Green Sandpipers as they hunt together, not something I've seen before.

Cute Moorhen and Avocet chicks are my favourite part of this video but there's also a quick look at a Common Snipe that landed and immediately sought cover, a huge group of juvenile Shelducks and a Common Sandpiper.

My best views of a long-staying White-Spotted Bluethroat in Slimbridge. A very rare visitor to the U.K. - especially in the West of the country. Good enough to see the bird but sadly affected by heat haze, not a usual hazard in the U.K. this year!. Some sound files were added from Zeno Canto to replace recordings ruined by excessive noise around the hide.

The best views of not one but four Green Sandpipers, a Great White Egret in flight, Egyptian and Barnacle Geese, Oystercatcher and Pied Wagtail.

Shelduck, Tufted Duck and Avocets with young. Avocet versus Shelduck to protect a chick. Moorhen building its nest.

A visit to the biennial Fresh Air sculpture exhibition in the grounds of the Old Rectory, Quenington near Cirencester. A stunning garden which has a river and a mill race running through it.

A record of my last trip to Goldcliff with Little Ringed Plover, Raven, Marsh Harrier, Lapwing, Black-Tailed Godwit, Little Grebe, Coot and more.

Managed to record a departing Biittern although too distant for any detail or stablility in the camera work. Also a couple of weeks after saying I hadn't seen any Little Ringed Plovers in Goldcliff this year I saw several plus a Great White Egret, sedge Warbler and Reed Bunting showing well.
